I'm always amazed at the times my children pick to learn life lessons.
On the way to school this morning the kids were talking about death. Dante told me that he's afraid to die. I told him that if he loves God, believes that Jesus died for him, and lives his life to please God he will go to heaven when he dies and he doesn't have to be scared of death.
He excitedly said, "Will Big Grandma be there?" (Big Grandma is his great-grandmother who passed away in October.)
I told him that yes, she would be there to give him a big hug.
He said, "Mommy, when I go to heaven I will send you a postcard to tell you how much Grandma and I love you."
I wanted to cry, but I just said, "thank you. I can't wait for a postcard from heaven."
