Prayers

I love bedtime prayers. It's one of my favorite times with my kids. That's when they seem to ask the big questions and when we really get to talk about God. It's such a sweet time.

The night before I flew to Montana last week was no exception. When I tucked Scotlynn into bed I told her that "mommy is going to fly in an airplane to see Grammy and Papa." She was intrigued. She told me she would make me a paper airplane to fly in. She wanted to fly with me in her paper airplane. I wondered out loud where we would fly in this airplane. "We'll fly to AWANA," was her immediate reply.

A few minutes later I was with Ila. She asked God to keep mommy safe and warm on the airplane. Then she asked God to let me have lots, and lots, and lots of fun. I don't know what she thought I'd be doing, but I loved her sincerity that I have fun while I was away from her.
